IMPORTANT! Please note the following!
If you are a campaigning politician and want to participate in the parade, there is a $50 fee. Non-member business: $25. Checks can be made to WACC. The spectators, particularly the children, love to receive candy trinkets at a parade. Therefore, we are asking those participants who wish to pass out surprises hand them to spectators. For example, if your Unit is a moving vehicle, please have a walker on each side that is in charge of handing out candy. This is a major safety issue, so please do everything you can to cooperate. We would also like to ask that careful planning go into the decision making of what type of treat is passed out. If you wish to hand out items other than candy or small trinkets toys/necklaces, please check with the Chamber prior to making purchases. We'd hate to have an organization make a large purchase then be asked not to hand out the item during the parade. NOTE: Neither the sponsors of the Parade or the Village of Waterville will assume any liability for injury or damages sustained by members of the Unit, not injury or damage sustained by spectators as a result of any action on the part of a participating Unit.
